constructed with galvanized wire helix and a unique
sound transparent, spun-bonded, non-woven inner
core. Fiberglass insulation (Choice of R4.2, R6, R8) encompasses the core and a metalized, reinforced vapor

• The Decrease in sound pressure level thru a length of duct compared to the same length of unlined sheet metal duct.
• 70dB with 10' Unlined sheet Metal Duct Returns at 60dB
• 70dB with 10' Flexible Air Duct Returns at 40dB
• IL = 60 - 40 = 20dB
Radiated Noise Reduction (NR)
• The reduction in sound pressure level thru the duct wall
• NR = 67dB - 60dB = 7dB
Airflow Generated Sound Power Level
• The sound generated by the airflow thru a duct
• 0dB through 10' flexible Air Duct with 2000 fpm air flow returns at 35dB
